Meat Canning

Every spring Brethren from the MId Atlantic and Southern Pennsylvania districts travel to Christian Aid Ministries in Ephrata, Pennsylvania for a week of meat canning. Chicken is processed and canned for distribution to areas of need around the world and in the United States.

 

The goal this year is to can appoximately 40,000 pounds of meat.

 

Some of last year's chicken had already been sent to the Dominican Republic and was used to feed victims of the Haiti earthquake in January 2010.
